Beautiful Mind, Beautiful Soul, Beautiful Body

Everyday it changes. You wake up, look in the mirror and you either feel beautiful or you see all of your insecurities in a microscope. Sometimes the insecurities change but they’re usually the same. Your nose is “too big”. Your stomach “isn’t skinny”. You have “too much acne”. But I want you to remember years ago when you were just a kid. You were in elementary school and your only worry in the world was what you were going to have for lunch. Did you think you were fat? Did you think your face had any imperfections? Did you think that the world was as dark as you think it is now? No you didn’t. So what happened? Why do you think this way now? What changed that made you lose your inner sunshine? When did your body become more important than your soul? I have the answers for you. Society happened. Middle school (A.K.A the Dark Ages) happened.

When you think about it, it makes sense. During middle school we were surrounded/we became the meanest, snobbiest, and/or rudest people we could be because we were influences by social media and were figuring out who we wanted to be. After years of being shallow and caring about what people look on the outside, it becomes a nasty habit and then you get to college and you realize that there are so many things that are more important than your body shape or how many zits you have on your face.

You grow up to see that our generation is responsible for cleaning up the environment after centuries of harmful destruction. We are responsible for accepting and supporting everyone no matter who they love. We are responsible for fighting for the freedom of a woman to do with her body as she chooses, as well as make the same, if not more, money than any man. So yes, we all have our inner vulnerabilities and most of us have bad relationships with our bodies but these are the issues that we are facing and they’re so much more important. You don’t need to see that you have a beautiful body for your vicinity to see that you have a beautiful soul. If you wish to work on yourself and your body, let it happen because you want to be healthy or because you want to love who you see in the mirror, not because society told you that you have to have a tiny stomach or small shoulders. In the end, if you focus your efforts on enriching your mind and soul, the love for your body will follow. Support the causes that need your attention right now, get the mental health that you need to be the best version of yourself that you can be, and learn to love your personality, your mind, and your heart so that it can be easier to love your body. You were born the way you were and you grew up to who you’ve become because the world needs you to get past all of your obstacles so that you can make it a better place. Your body is yours and no one else’s so you should be the person to love it the most before anyone else can. Show yourself the love you deserve and if you need help here’s something   I have written with the purpose of making you happy.

There’s a lot of information in this post so to sum it up, work on your mind and soul so that you can love your body. You are perfect just the way you are and if you continue to improve yourself then you’ll be a vital part of making the world a better place. When your insecurities are overwhelming remember that there are people who love and support you and think you’re absolutely beautiful. You are beautiful. Remember that always and stay happy lovelies because you deserve it.
